Quality & Certification

DFM-first quality follow-up for engineering PCB projects.

For prototypes and low-volume builds, quality starts before production: clear files, confirmed stack-up, realistic process selection, and inspection requirements agreed before release.

Quality Flow

Practical checks from engineering review to outgoing inspection.

DFM Review

Gerber, drill, stack-up, copper, solder mask, panelization, impedance, material and special notes are reviewed before quotation or release.

Engineering Confirmation

Questions are clarified with the customer before production starts, especially for HDI, high-speed, high-frequency and special process boards.

In-Process Follow-Up

Key process points such as lamination, drilling, plating, solder mask, surface finish and electrical test can be followed according to project risk.

Outgoing Control

Final checks can include appearance, quantity, marking, electrical test status, dimensions, impedance data and packaging confirmation.

Inspection & Test

Testing items can be selected according to product risk.

AOI Electrical Test Flying Probe Impedance Test Microsection Solderability Dimensional Inspection Ionic Contamination Thermal Stress Visual Inspection Final QC Custom Report

Detailed Quality Control

Quality checkpoints that can be followed for higher-risk PCB builds.

PCB inspection microscope

Inspection should be planned before production.

For high-risk prototypes, inspection requirements such as impedance data, microsection, dimensional confirmation or outgoing reports should be confirmed during RFQ, not after production is finished.

Incoming materialLaminate, copper foil, solder mask ink, chemical materials and special laminate documents checked according to order requirement
CAM / EQ reviewGerber data, drill, stack-up, impedance, panelization, special notes and engineering questions reviewed before release
Inner layer controlFilm / LDI exposure, etching, AOI, line width, spacing and copper balance monitored for multilayer projects
Lamination controlStack-up, prepreg, core thickness, registration, resin flow and press cycle followed according to board structure
Drilling & platingHole size, hole wall quality, desmear, copper plating thickness and aspect ratio reviewed for reliability risk
Outer layer processPattern plating, etching, solder mask, legend, surface finish and outline controlled according to customer specification
Electrical testingOpen / short test, flying probe or fixture test according to quantity, complexity and customer requirement
Final inspectionAppearance, dimensions, warpage, solder mask, marking, quantity, packaging and outgoing quality confirmation

Certification Support

Certified production capability can be arranged when required.

For projects that need formal quality systems or compliance support, MWX can arrange production through qualified manufacturing resources with relevant certification capability such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, UL and related customer audit requirements where applicable.

Certification documents and factory-specific evidence should be confirmed during RFQ, because the required certificate scope, production site, product type and customer approval process may differ by project.

Certification & Standards

Common quality systems and compliance items can be supported by project.

Quality systemISO 9001 production capability available when required by customer project or supplier approval process
Environmental systemISO 14001 capability can be supported for projects requiring environmental management documentation
Automotive qualityIATF 16949 related production resources can be discussed for suitable automotive or industrial control projects
UL supportUL-recognized material and UL marking support can be reviewed according to laminate, board type and end application
IPC standardIPC Class 2 is common; IPC Class 3 requirements should be confirmed before quotation and production release
Environmental complianceRoHS, REACH and halogen-free documentation can be discussed according to material and customer requirement
ReportsCoC, electrical test report, impedance report, microsection report, material certificate and FAI report available when planned in RFQ
Customer auditFactory audit, process evidence and certificate scope should be confirmed case by case before customer approval
